Opening:
Another great weekend and 6 points on the road!  Read below for the update and we have the Varsity vs. Alumni Super Cup this Saturday!!!!
 
Varsity Results:
Vs. RMC: The Ravens opened the scoring quickly, as midfielder Dante Cobisa sent the ball into the back of the net in the 18th minute. Carleton would then get a chance to take a penalty kick, and it would be forward Jeremy Aweya that would end up converting on the kick to give the Ravens a 2-0 lead. Cobisa would then cap the half off with his second goal of the game as the Ravens headed off the field with a solid 3-0 lead. The onslaught of the Ravens offense continued into the second half, as forward Stefan Karajovanovic potted a hat trick to give the visiting team a comfortable 6-0 lead. Forward Alexandar Kulic would then cap the game off with one last goal for a 7-0 final score. Carleton extended their lead halfway through the first half on a goal from forward Gabriel Bitar to head into the second half with a 2-0 lead.
 
Vs. Queens: With a pack of our alumni making to the trip down to Kingston, the Queens away match is always entertaining! We are undefeated at Queens since the tradition of sending the bus of alumni! The Ravens took an early lead five minutes into the first half, when forward Jimi Aribido sent the ball sailing past the Gaels goalkeeper Alex Jones to take a 1-0 lead.  The Girls, sorry Gaels, then cut Carleton’s lead in half at the 64th minute but Carleton hung on and the game ended 2-1.
 
A rare weekend off for the boys this weekend except for our annual Super Cup (Alumni vs. Varsity) in which the Alumni have been consecutive champions for the last few years.

*For those interested in playing please confirm asap so we can ensure we have at least 15 players. Will follow-up mid/late week to advise of the numbers and who’s confirmed thus far.
 
Alumni Weekend & Dinner: Oct. 13/14.
– We have had to move our Alumni weekend due to availability of our church hall.  This year’s Alumni Dinner will take place on Saturday October 13th.  More details to follow regarding events surrounding the weekend. You know from experience that this will be a legendary weekend!
 
Joey Leaflor Cup:
– Sun, Oct. 28th
– 3:00pm.
– @ Carleton University.
– Annual game of Carleton Alumni vs. Algonquin Alumni.
 
OTHER:
 
ALUMNI DUES
That time of year again where we collect $40 dues from each member to help cover expenses as well as provide a donation back to the Varsity team.  We have not inflated this price in years and it remains extremely low for all that it provides.  Please email transfer your dues and anyone participating in any of the above events must be in good standing and have your dues paid for the year.
