Varsity Results:
Carleton finally played at home versus Nipissing this past Saturday. It was a beautiful night with a great crowd and many eager alumni anxious to cheer on the home side. Gabi Bitar opened the scoring and led the way with 2 goals as the Ravens cruised past the Nipissing Lakers 4-0 in their Homecoming home opener. Christopher Melekos and Emdad Houache (opening goal with a screamer of a free-kick) added a goal each as Carleton improved to 6-0-1.
Sunday Carleton played at home to Laurentian. The Ravens got off to a fast start, scoring twice in the first five minutes. Carleton started the scoring with a blazing shot from 30 yards out by veteran Tristan St. Pierre (TSP) for a 1-0 lead. A few minutes later, Alexander Kulic finished off an Emad Houache cross to push the Ravens lead to 2-0. 15min into the Second half Laurentian got one back to make it 2-1, however that did not last long as Emad Houche stole the ball from the Laurentian defender and sent in a short cross that found Aribido’s right boot to surprise the Voyageurs’ goalie for a 3-1 lead. In the 81st minute with the game all but concluded, Scott (Scotty) Mazzotta scored to make the final tally 4-1 for the home side.
Another 6 point weekend and the boys are back on the road for the Kingston road trip.

Please email transfer your dues and anyone participating in any of the above events must be in good standing and have your dues paid for the year.

PHOTOS FROM THE WEEKEND:
Again a big congrats to Earl Cochrane for getting inducted into Carleton University Athletics Hall of Fame and to all the people who pushed and supported his bid behind the scenes. Also a pic with Rob Gallo – Head Coach of the women’s Laurentian team. He is retiring from coaching this season and is a fellow alumni who was part of the 1984 team that won Silver at Nationals. He was presented with a Raven’s tie prior to his match. Another pic commemorating our Raven brother Sultan prior to the match Saturday as Sultan is unable to play this year against his will due to the politics with Saudi Arabia.
