Carleton vs. UOIT
In a rainy, windy day at Carleton – it was reminiscent of the good old days at Carleton! Despite the nasty weather, Alumni were still out in a strong numbers to cheer on the lads and deliver epic chirps to the visiting UOIT Ridgebacks. The boys got out to a nice start, controlling possession despite the slippery terrain. They took an early lead in the 16th minute from rookie striker Stefan Karajovanovic, who fired it home past the keeper to put the Ravens up 1-0. Tensions began to rise between the two squads as players on both sides were unhappy with some challenges against them. The Alumni took full advantage of the rising tension to animate the crowd and get under the skin of some of the UOIT players. The Ravens continued their dominant play and went up 2-0 through Tristin St. Pierre (First goal of his career!) Minutes later Ricky Comba scored to make it 3-0 just before halftime. The second half saw the gates open wide with many Ravens looking to get on the score sheet including another from Stefan, 2 for Dario Conte and one PK from Diego Politis to end the game in a blow-out 7-0!
Carleton will now head to Toronto for the OUA Final Four with their sights set on taking home the championship.
Ryerson returns to the Final Four after beating UofT in PKs, with McMaster beating Guelph 1-0, and York beating Western 2-1.
We are calling on all Toronto Ravens Alumni to come out to the match and support the lads.
