Carleton Soccer Alumni Association (CSAA) – Newsletter :
Opening:
We hope everyone had a great week. We have a big week ahead with the Hall of Fame dinner and Carleton Varsity Home Opener with tailgate! Please read through the following updates and details.
Varsity Results:
Carleton travelled to the GTA last weekend and first faced the University of Toronto on Saturday. Carleton’s offense broke out early when Gabi Bitar converted a penalty kick in the 11th minute. Less than 2 minutes later, a lengthy cross eventually found its way to Jimi Aribido who found the back of the net for his 4th goal in 3 games. It ended 2-0 at half-time. In the second half, playing in his first game of the season, Stefan Karajovanovic chipped in to end the game 3-0.
Sunday was the battle of East first place with Carleton playing Ryerson. Our Ravens were able to produce a variety of opportunities, with 15 total shots directed at net and 6 on goal however they failed to put one in the back of the net. They held a clean sheet and ultimately, the OUA East’s top 2 teams couldn’t get on the board and ended with a 0-0 draw.
Our Raven’s remain undefeated and finally return home.

That time of year again where we collect $40 dues from each member to help cover expenses as well as provide a donation back to the Varsity team. We have not inflated this price in years and it remains extremely low for all that it provides. Please email transfer your dues and anyone participating in any of the above events must be in good standing and have your dues paid for the year.
